Great story. The art was hard to understand at first, and for a long time I had no idea what was going on. But as the story unfolded everything came together for a very fun, stick-with-you story.

I will be the first to admit that my experience reading this may be unique and bias, but as a father of a 5th grader (whose mother went through cancer diagnosis and treatment) this story spoke to me in a powerful way. It requires the reader to look at Barbara with interest and compassion, because her interactions with the outside world are uneven and often unfair. If you give her that, you are rewarded with a story told both by nuanced art and tension-building words that moved me to tears.

This was such a beautiful story! Hard to read, at times, it blends reality with fantasy in the most tasteful and compelling way. The art style was incredibly unique and charming as well!
