THIS BOOK IS HEAVY. ONE OF THE MOST TWISTED I HAVE READ.

I'm pretty torn as the idea and setting for this book is incredible and got me very excited when I first started. The author is very talented when it comes to creating imagery, and creating scenes. This applies to the creature creation as well. Unfortunately much of the dialogue gets pretty corny, especially the further you get into the story. There were a few grammatical errors which were pretty jarring. The biggest issue I had was the main character. Not only is he unlikable almost the whole story, but his "personality" does not match his actions at all. The author also clearly intended to have a deep character flaw sub plot, which just kind of equates to nothing, and reflects little to none character development. Overall it is an okay book. A fantastic setting, and idea just paired with mediocre dialogue, and weak character development.
