These are indulgent books, but I think they should have ended a couple editions back.

I love Charlaine Harris's writing, and I love Sookie. But this book . . . I dunno, it felt so BLEAK. Also, could she have left us with more questions about what is going to happen next? I don't THINK so. On the other hand, as always happens with Sookie Stackhouse books, I COULD NOT put it down until I was done.

I'm not surprised that Sookie's reeling a bit in this book. I am, too.

Getting tired with this serie (well, with series in general. The fight in the bar near the end was too graphic for me.

It's another Sookie Stackhouse book. They're entertaining reads, but really not a lot of substance. Which is fine. They are what they are. This book is no exception. If you like this series, you'll probably like this book-sex, vampires, fairies, a few plot twists and Sookie in mortal peril at least once.

I was happy to see Alcide make an appearance, but I'm guessing Harris is not a fan of his currently because he was a huge prick and acted totally out of character.

I don't mean to sound glum. It was an entertaining read, but i find that most series get formulaic after a while and this is no exception.

I just couldn't do it. I guess I am just really sick of this series. It should really stop now. I read about a third of it and chose not to finish.

Previously Published on my blog: Welcome to Larissa's Bookish Life

*NO Spoilers.

The Good: Fun and it fits like your favorite shirt would. =)

The Bad: While I was reading it, someone asked me what I was thinking of it, I said: “not sure... it feels like an old shirt you have always loved. It is comfortable and you can't help but wear it, but it's far from effective =/”

That’s exactly how it felt for me. I think it’s time to wrap this series up, though I have to say that I will miss this world and characters dearly!

The Romance: Knowing Eric is not Sookie’s HEA, takes some of the fun out, but he is still awesome!

Loved this book! My favorite in the series so far. I'm sad that it's over. Luckily, True Blood Season 4 is right around the corner ;)

This book is definitely the crossroad in the series. There are some changes comin' and they will be big. I am definitely sad about one in particular, but I think for the series to progress, it must happen.

I am very anxious to see where Ms. Harris takes us. Hopefully we don't have to wait a year....
