So I've always heard that the GI Joe comics are far better than anybody has any right to believe...but I never thought they'd be THAT much better. There are some great situations that the various team members get thrown in here, situations that are basically the writer one-upping himself constantly: "Okay, so this is the trap they're thrown in, how do I get them out of this one?" Things like that. And it's a lot of fun. Totally worth the read.

Nostalgia at its finest

As a kid I had issue #1 but had several large gaps in my collection. With these bundles, I can relive the glory of my childhood years and enjoy these comics all over again.

Not really what I was expecting. But then, I wasn't allowed to read comics as a kid (they were for 'boys' according to my mother) so I don't have a lot to base my expectations on. However, I will say, I love that the cheesy humor I loved so much in the cartoons was present in the comics as well.
