This is the retelling of Dinah's story (a minor character from the Old Testament). It's beautifully written and made me connect with characters who would have lived thousands of years ago.

The idea behind this story was excellent. The execution wasn't. The gratuitous violence and sex (and the picture it painted of Jacob and some of his sons) left me feeling sick to my stomach. I wouldn't recommend it.

The writing isn't that engaging, it reads more like a historical account than a narrative

DNF…This is one of the worst books I have read! This is NOT Christian Fiction and the vileness is incomprehensible. Too much talk of sex, bestiality, attempted incest and cursing is beyond words. This book is overrated and I will never understand why the author took liberties to falsify biblical accounts.
