Henry VIII is infamous for being a tyrant and having 6 wives in his determination to have a son. I always find this ironic as his quest for a son is what results in the end of his line as Elizabeth I refused to marry and ended up being one of the greatest Queen's in history. I enjoyed how this  novel brought Henry to life and provided a fascinating insight into how his personality was formed as well as his journey from a golden prince to the tyrant he is remembered as.
