Bored me to tears... And at the end, she came from a mediocre psychic to a Mary Sue ultrapowerful one who nobody can stop. She just gets new powers and immediately knows how to use them, without any explanation whatsoever. At some point, one of the characters says "You don't need to question what happened." Yeah, I do! Especially if it makes no sense with what we knew till then.
The "romance" made no sense, it felt forced. There was zero chemistry between the characters, so the kiss came out of nowhere. I didn`t connect with them, so when he's killed at some point it had zero impact.
The aliens were kind of stupid, and I didn't understand half of what they did.

2.5 stars. Light and silly this story is about psychics and aliens so being annoyed by unrealistic things seems a little silly. Yet that was where I found myself. I had no problem with the aliens or the alien human hybrids. I even accepted the alien virus injected into the body ( or via spray tanning) which gave us alien possessed humans. I had no problem with the heroine being psychic with a spirit guide. I like the alien hunting team our heroine finds to help her rescue the hero. Where it lost me was when our heroine's psychic powers suddenly morphed into a combination of telekinesis and mind control and she started blasting people with white light to drive out and/or kill the aliens. Even though the entire premise is silly this was just too ridiculous ( and convenient) for me. I was also incredibly annoyed by
Spoiler hero dies, spirit guide 'breaks the rules' to return him to life. Too convenient. Not that I wanted him to be dead. I just thing it would have been better not to kill him at all if you are going to magically wave a wand (or in this case white light) over him 2 mins later.

BAD VIBRATIONS is an alien invasion series and is a mix of adventure, conspiracy theories and alien hunting! It was a great break from reality! It's fast paced and had me hooked in no time!

Persephone is a psychic, a real one, and with her spirit guide Otto, she has made a name for herself dealing with Hollywood types and steering them away from disasters in their careers. When an new client tells her about the strange antics of his girlfriend, she gets pulled into the mayhem of alien hunting!
Paul is an academic and alien hunter. His beliefs got him binned from his Astrophysics position at university and he is now part of the underground network dealing with aliens usurping certain bases and using humans as disposable test subjects.

When Otto leads her to Paul they end up on the run and meet up with others in the network in Sedona: Kara, Kiki, Lance and Matthew. They make an awesome group of alien hunters, each with their own ideas on what is happening and each with a little something extra to make them invaluable to Paul and Persephone as the danger mounts.

The plot is well paced and as long as you like alien type stories you will get sucked right in! Please disconnect from reality and enjoy this adventure with awesome characters and the eponymous Men in Black (there is definitely more to them than the usual government agent).

Can't wait to get stuck into book 2!

This was a very entertaining book. The plot was a bit weird and wacky for my taste, a combination of psychics and UFOs! But surprisingly, I liked it. It was exciting and intriguing and hilarious. The love story wasn't bad either. I was just irritated by their going to and fro different settings. If you're looking for an easy read then give this a try.
