Okay so this book was definitely out of my normal reading realm. However, the blurb truly caught my interest and I wanted to give it a try. I am so glad I did, because I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I thought it was funny. it was more than sexy (fans self) and it was creative. I thought the storyline was very different.

Without going into that storyline, I will just say that it will hold your interest and will make you want to continue reading more. You will not want to put down your reading device.

This is a new author to me and I will definitely be reading more from them. I can't wait to see what's next!

This book has surprisingly subtle world building that I found fascinating? Like I don’t hate that it’s a one off but I could read a whole series about these characters getting pulled back into the fight against the end of the world. Add in that spicy Eve Dangerfield banging and I’m double here for it.

while the main character was giving major Not Like Other Girls, I still had a great time reading this story. it managed a complicated relationship dynamic so so well I'm thoroughly impressed. also viva la hippies

but I was so thrown off going into this one blind I had to rewind and read the summary because that premise was WILD

I LOVE Eve Dangerfield’s writing and this book really showcased her offbeat humour.

It won’t be for everyone, but if you like those quirky/weird comedies about the end of the world (the ones that can be a bit crass but still hilarious) AND a reverse harm/why choose romance? This is it. I dig.

Despite the basic storyline (the FMC discovers the apocalypse is upon us, and is imprisoned by a mysterious organisation who hires 3 hot ex-military men to guard her), the story was surprisingly character-driven.

Like a lot of Eve Dangerfield books, the kinks were not always for me (this one had degradation), but I was still captivated — probably because how invested I was in the characters. Definitely one of the more creative romances I’ve read in a while.

Ok, I know what you're thinking. You may even be doing what I did and your eyes are rolling so much that they spin out of your head. Yes, it's an end of the world novel...But it's also not! I know that sounds dumb but the end of the world is not the focus for the book just a tipping point for story. Plus never judge a book on your assumptions of a genre- like I did before I grabbed it.

That being said, Daniel- yes it's spelled that way on purpose- she knows the end is coming. S he knows more than anyone how that news can effect a person. And well being kidnapped is just par for the course right?!?

But her kidnapping isn't quite the same as say...the Lindbergh baby or even in the movies. Daniel is living a very easy existence under the watchful eyes of the three hottest guys she's ever seen. It's a trying time for all...except for Daniel who has no shame and "self-soothes" on a regular basis.

I'm not sure if all end of the world books are as frustrating as this one though. By frustrating, I mean sexually. Well not for me but those poor guys had to put up with a lot and no outlet for it until...

Maybe you should read it and see what I mean. I think the funniest "scene" is the inner monologue while Daniel is being "visited" by Jem. Hands down more fun than the awesome banter between Daniel and her captors. Get it- hands down! Ok, you don't so hurry and catch up.

Great book but hard to classify, it reads like a thriller even with an
incoming apocalipse only the heroine knows of, and one of the heros has "powers"
but those are not really the focus of the history so it doesn't feel Fantasyt or Sci-fi to me. Just a touch to make it more interesting.

It took me like 10% to get into the book but when I connected with the characters I just wanted to keep reading. The heroine grated on my nerves at first but I ended really liking her. All 3 heroes had distinct personalities/voices. Ending was HFN and too rushed for my liking, I needed a few more chapters of them together and I NEED to know what happens next.  I believe this was supposed to be a series but it doesn't seem to be continued and there is an author a note at the end explaining that it didn't work commercially :( a shame because it was great!

Sweet lord almighty, what an awesome book. Brilliant story line. Page melting sexiness. The entire plot took me by surprise. Eve Dangerfield has a new fan.

Don't let the "End of the World" tags deter you. This isn't an apocalyptic novel. It's really smart erotica, with a quirky, badass heroine and three unique, lovable, ex-military heroes. Absolutely spellbinding.
