In the beginning, I struggeled to get into it. There were so many chatacters and it got a bit confusing. At the end I can say this part was needed as well. I loved the development of Charlie. The writing style was a bit different but absolutely great to portray Charlie's feelings and mental state. I have never read something where I just knew what the main character was feeling wirhout actually saying it. Great book.

“A girl’s life is the worst life in the world. A girl’s life is: you are born, you bleed, you burn.” 
This book was so raw in my opinion and it felt like the author was reaching into my brain and articulating my thoughts in a way that I’m not capable of, it destroyed me and the author’s note was just the cherry on top. 
Please look at the trigger warnings for this book because there are many!!

also fuck Riley.
Oh and Felix’s character was truly the light in the of the tunnel. In my opinion the last 50-60 pages are phenomenal!!

This was a great read focusing on mental health and substance abuse. It captures it in a very real way, and doesn’t ignore the fact that both are a lifelong issue that cannot magically be solved.

Amazing character work with devastating moments that keep you turning the page in hopes of reprieve. Beautiful book that focuses on self-harm, but has an even more important message about finding your voice (in whatever medium) and screaming your truth.
