OMG how I adore this book. It was GREAT! The authors did a very good job combining romance, magic, historical fiction, YA writing and HUMOR! The humor was everything in this book. I really needed that during these times. I have recently been feeling mentally really bad and this book literally shown light into my life for the past couple of days. Jane is such a great character, full of sarcasm, and feminine power. And can I say that G is such a cute male character to fall in love with. Edward was written really well, but what made the book, in my opinion was the relationship between Jane and G.

I love a good historical fiction. This wasn't exactly the same thing, but it was fun and a great mix of fantasy and historical.

It's a solid story. I love this series as just a breath from reading a lot more serious books. It's fun.

A great laugh and fantastical revision of history, read at a moment when I needed the lightness.

What if Jane Grey had been queen for nine days, and lived to tell the tale? This reworking of 16th century English history substitutes Ethians and Verities for Protestants and Catholics, which is probably safer when you're writing for teens and have no desire to open a can of worms. This was a fun Renaissance romp, which thankfully kept the mandatory true luuuuuuuurve aspect to a minimum.

I'm almost sure I would have enjoyed the book more if I'd been reading instead of listening. The reader rarely left over-the-top mode. A subtler approach would have allowed me to get lost in the story, and the punch lines would have been funnier if they hadn't been telegraphed by a silly voice.

This was one of the most hilarious book that I have ever read!

I really enjoyed reading this book, especially through the audiobook. If you have a chance to listen to the audiobook of this instead of physical reading it, I would highly recommend it since the narrator makes the story so dramatic and hilarious. I love the idea of "rewriting history" and making it funny and fantastical. This was so enjoyable and I can't wait to continue with this series!

I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a historical fiction with some magical element to it and for it to be more light hearted than most historical fictions are. This was so so fun and I love it!

I enjoyed this book. I listened to the audiobook and I thought the narrator was great. However, I believe the physical book is close to 500 pages and I just don’t think it needed to be that long. Some parts were really slow. I also felt like the synopsis was a little misleading in the fact that Lady Jane was plotting to overthrow Kind Edward. Overall, I thought it was good and would recommend and I think the audiobook would be great. I plan on checking out My Plain Jane around October and My Calamity Jane next month.
