A great ending to the Winternight Triology! The mushroom spirit Ded Grib was the most adorable, smol, hype man.
I really enjoyed seeing Vasya's slow burn growth over the course of books, she starts as a wild, foreceful child and matures into a young woman who understands the consequences of her choices. I also loved that we get to see the Bear in action, not only in war but also in sly, manipulation.
The human polictics side was quite confusing for me. I had hard time figuring out who was who, which side they were on, etc. Luckily it wasn't a huge focus on the book but the battle scenes were hard for me to follow along.

If Katherine Arden writes it, I'm gonna read it. What a fantastic ending to this trilogy, very satisfying conclusion. Did it make me cry? Maybe.

There was a part in the middle which felt like the natural ending to the story but then it kept going and I had to get reinvested. But I think it's a satisfying ending to the trilogy

I originally decided to add this trilogy to my TBR because I stumbled upon some of its fanart on tumblr. Check it out, it is absolutely gorgeous! - It is a beautiful, whimsical, cozy story but don’t let that fool you. When I say I SOBBED during the final book (both from heartbreak and happiness), I mean it. I loved the historical references and that the author explains them in her notes. Overall, I feel this trilogy is vastly underrated. Also, the third book was my favorite in the series.
