I think if I physically read this, I would have enjoyed it more. I had a bit of problem with the male narrator, he sounded very monotone and it made the sex scenes sound more awkward than sexy. So that took me out of it but I did start and finish this in one day.

However, I did enjoy this enough to where I got a couple more e-books and audiobooks by this author. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and starting the Dalton series (which I think is connected to this one)

Was a good start to the book but by the end, I had to force myself to carry on reading which I got to around 78% and left it (read two different books) and then finished it

This one's a super fast-paced spicy romance and was the perfect palette cleanser for me - which is what I often look for on KU haha. There's spice in literally chapter 2 so you jump right into it and the story doesn't slow down from there.

It had celebrity drama and fun side characters which I'm excited to see more of in the other books in the series!! It has elements of a forbidden/secret relationship since Brett is older and is the agent representing James after a major scandal. It's a mostly light-hearted and enjoyable read that will be a good break when you're not sure what to read next!

I’m so disappointed in this book. I loved other books by this author but this just wasn’t for me.

Firstly the MMC is the most unlikeable MMC, Brett, I have come across. He was an A class jerk and then in the FMC most vulnerable moments had sex with her on the conference room table

I love alphaholes as much as the next person, but what really bothers me is a pushover, submissive fmc. James should’ve have made him work for the apologies but instead she was just like “ok, f*ck me”? MA’AM.

this had me swooning!!!

wow this was such a good book! i was so glad to know that brett had his own book. i loved seeing him in the lawyer and the billionaire. his and james’ chemistry is off the charts. i loved their banter and how they couldn’t get enough of each other. marni’s writing style will hook you from the very beginning and keep you up late to read her work. i can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

4.25⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was such a cute reprieve in between some of the dark romances I’ve been reading lately. I really loved the characters and their connection and this book had plenty of spicy scenes! Although I did predict the outcome early on, I still really enjoyed this. Can’t wait to read more books by Marni Mann.
