4 stars. I’ve been trying to fill a void for dark and toxic romances since reading Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas last year but honestly no one is touching Olivia and Clay for me. Those two live rent free in my damn head. However, this was super close. It is messed up and super dark and Rose and Rachel are extremely toxic. They are also really hot together because wow is the smut in this on point. Also, knife play. Yep. I feel dirty for having enjoyed that scene so much but let’s not talk about it.

There is so much about these characters that fascinated me especially Rose’s back story. We get bits and pieces of it but not the whole thing and I’m curious. She’s definitely had it rough and explains why she is the way that she is. The ending to this had me screaming because wtf? The audacity. I know that this is a prequel to a series but I’m not interested in reading those unfortunately. I wanted it to just be Rose and Rachel and it looks like it’s not which is disappointing. But, for what this is it’s very entertaining in a messed up way and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love the Stoneview Stories series so much! When this novella was announced and it was between Rose and Rachel, I KNEW I had to read it as soon as possible!

I loved Rose in Jake and Jamie's story, but now that were getting to see a bit more, I am even more in love. I cannot wait until her full story next year!!

Be warned that this is a novella in a bigger series and does have a bit of crossover from Giving In and Giving Away.

P.S. I will forever read anything and everything that Lola writes.

Wow, I need Rose’s story NOW! I’m obsessed with the characters Lola has created within the Stoneview world and I just can’t get enough. This might only be a novella, however so much is packed into it. This is my first FF read but I’m all for it with the steam and passion from Rose & Rachel
