This book was not what I was expecting. Katee Robert is great. I read her Olympus Gods, fairytales, taboo, and some monster series. They were fantastic. This was very much a classic, fluffy romance. I wasnā€™t invested in the story. I felt both the MMC and MFC were being stupid. I just didnā€™t like anything about this book really.

I decide to finish this series now because I didn't really like Nathan's character in Gabe's and Ella's book so I wanted to give myself a few months to forget the details. The thing is that I liked the story and the smut here but I still didn't like Nathan. I mean seriously? The guy just does things without talking to his wife for God's sake. The ENLISTED and left his wife but was surprised when she left in that time. I would do the same thing, she literally begged him not to go. And then he does the same thing with her father. All he had to do was talk to her about it. That's it.

I enjoyed the other two but this was my least favorite.Ā

SpoilerI personally was not a fan of what the mmc did at the end to prove his love to the fmc. Her reasons to be upset and end it were incredibly valid and yet she went crawling back apologizing. The Rollercoaster of yes and no, was actually rather annoying.

A nice romance. I didnā€™t love the dynamic between Nathan and Chelsea but still enjoyable.Ā
