Not Bendis's best, seems more interested in shocking the reader than doing any interesting storytelling. Later volumes are much better.

I love it.

I love that there are elements that show up in the show (even not in the same way or sequence) and there are some that that don't show up at all.

Also, why did nobody tell me that Jessica and Carol Danvers are friends?!?!?

The art isn't quite mine but it fits JJ. :)

The storyline was interesting, the art was good, but I didn't find this as spectacular as I had hoped it to be. And it's not because it's gritty, or there's violence and language and sex, I just expected more.

Ok, now I am *super* excited for JESSICA JONES on Netflix!

I watched the Netflix show in December, which made me want to read this. I will say that I thought the tv show did a better job at showing the complexities of the character and also had a kick ass storyline. I loved seeing flashbacks from Jessica's past and enjoyed absolutely everything about the show.

This wasn't bad but the character was quite different than in the tv series. I prefer sarcastic, feisty Jessica. Still, I'm curious to read the others in this series, mostly for the Purple Man storyline.

Fantastic comic, highly recommend if you're a fan of the show like I am. I definitely should've read this first instead of the reboot, because this is exactly what I wanted. Kilgrave isn't mentioned in this comic at all, allowing the focus to be on Jessica and her life more than anything, and also highlighting her struggles with the numbness she feels all the time. I'm also in love with the artwork, I love how the colors can really fit into the conversation. I'm excited to continue on this new journey.

*hearteyes* I love this even more than the tv series. I like Jessica Jones better in the comics and the fact that superheroes are more mentioned and actually a part of the story! They are just two completely different things, with similar elements, and I just got my dad fangirling over the tv series so maybe I'll lend him the comic hah

after reading so much praise for this one i was expecting a lot more. what i got was some cases completely unconnected and all of which made Jessica look incredibly incompetent.
