I enjoyed the book, but like the 1st in the series, it felt like it was trying to accomplish so much in so little time. I would have enjoyed things being more developed, and the plot lines more limited, so that it didn’t feel so jumpy.

Fell in love wjth this series with the first book, and this sequel does not disappoint! The theme of magic, evil, Royal parties, and romance is so enticing.
My favorite thing about all of Tammy Blackwells books is the characters, and how real their feelings come through on the page. I can feel their despair, embarrassment, and happiness. And the stories never go in the way I expect—secrets keep coming out, and the stories take a completely unseen turn. Sci-fi and fantasy are not my normal book genres, but these books are written to perfection where i just get sucked into the story and characters.
Love this series, and I’m always hoping more will come!!

Fantastic! !

Just the right amount of replace and intrigue with characters who are fully formed and not formulaic. Can't wait for the next in the Of Magic and Machine series
