This book is just lovely. Rachael Herron writes reliable, lovely and well written romances, and this one is no exception. I always love a visit to Darling Bay, and it was a pleasure to return to this lovely setting.
The only reason I gave it four, rather than five stars was the premise around the reality television show seems somewhat weak to me– but the writing and believability of the characters overcomes this easily. I recommend this book – but I would definitely read the first book in the series On the Market first, both because it provides context and because this book has spoilers for the first, and it would be a shame to miss out on the pleasure of reading both.

Oh, I was given a ARC in exchange for an honest review, but I would have bought this anyway.

I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I've not been able to finish a book in months, nothing held my interest and I found every character dull and uninspiring. This book I raced through and really enjoyed. It's a light easy to read romance with characters that are interesting and flawed trying to figure themselves, their lives and a relationship out. I'm not a fan of reality tv in the slightest but the show plays a small role in the plot and isn't horribly intrusive, so if like me reality tv makes you cringe then don't worry too much about that with this book!

Looking forward to the final instalment of this and anything else Rachael sets in Darling Bay, it sounds like a fab and interesting place to live!

(I received a review copy of this book.)

Rachael is really great at writing fun books with real heart to them. This one was especially delightful for anyone who enjoys Property Brothers or Bachelor-type shows, and so the romance was ratcheted into that reality show type echelon with hot springs and hang gliding and whatnot. The more she writes about Darling Bay, the more it takes on that Stars Hollow feel where you know everyone in the town.
