Very magical, beautifully written, and overall just a really well done, unique, and cute read. I would have read it a lot faster if I had the time. At first I didn’t love the narration of the story but by the end I loved it. This is the kind of book I would have loved as a kid. I’m glad I read it.

I listened to this based on Audible recommendations, and the narration was outstanding. This was a lovely, optimistic book - just what I needed!

This was a slow burn for me. Never a page turner, but each page was beautifully crafted.

In terms of plot, it was hard at many points for me to look past all the willful ignorance and intentional forgetting. This seemed to be a theme of the book... kind of? Anyway, if I ignore that (ha!), and it’s ethical implications (or explain them as somehow part and parcel with the magic in the book, which is for obvious reasons also unexplainable), what’s left is a really heartwarming story. I teared up at several points in the end. Well worth reading in spite of my nitpicking.
