Charming, witty and an improvement over its predecessor. While much of [b:Who Could That Be At This Hour?|13477819|Who Could That Be At This Hour? (All The Wrong Questions, #1)|Lemony Snicket|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1333060600s/13477819.jpg|19008874] felt like it was setting everything up for the series as a whole, this book jumped right in with the established setting and characters, engaged in some world-building to expand the scope, and allowed the mystery to breathe and gather steam toward an exciting climax. There was even room in the final chapter to tease the next book, and the series villain is less of a mystery and more formidable. I love it when characters from A Series of Unfortunate Events pop up, although I do wish that I had finished those books more recently or took detailed notes while reading; perhaps Snicket's books are too smart for their own good!

A fun continuation of the series. I think previously I was disappointed at the lack of ASOUE references and didn’t take to the new characters, but this time around I am very much enjoying the new faces and extra excited when a reference surfaces. Love shout outs to Kit, Jacques, Gustav (!), and Widdershins

I'm finding that I really enjoy the All the Wrong Questions series, not just as a supplement to A Series of Unfortunate Events, but in its own right. It's the perfect vehicle for Lemony Snicket the character (and Lemony Snicket the author) to make pithy and humorous observations about the world. [a:Daniel Handler|7176|Daniel Handler|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1323806668p2/7176.jpg], bless your offbeat sense of humor. I anxiously await the third book in the series.
