What a phenomenal second book in this triology! I really appreciate how the author stayed true to the plot, not getting lost in the romance (although included really nicely), and tackling greater issues of conflict, identity and revelation. Equisite writing and story telling!

This book was set more in the fantasy world than the real world and I felt like that transition was a little lacking, I was a little confused. But still a great book, I have hope that I'll like the last book as much as I liked the first one.

Didn’t love this one as much as book one, but it was still good. Looking forward to seeing what happens in books three.

The book started and ended well, but I was unmotivated to keep reading it in the middle, tbh. Adore the characters and despise some of them too. There’s one really traumatizing chapter, so be careful and check tws. As the neighborhood sang: “But when you told me the whole story I felt like throwing up.” (Not really a spoiler: she did throw up).
