How is this book so long, yet missing so much? /lh

Some parts of the book dragged, other times it felt like character development was really rushed.

Spoiler

Niclays changing his mind about Sabran in about 0.2 seconds. That part should have been drawn out.

I also feel like Sabran didn’t do much/was left out?

The world building was really cool.

I’m not really interested in reading the sequel (prequel?).

I was intimidated by the heft of this book at first, but it was so good!  As soon as I started, I couldn’t put it down.

Though I was a bit intimidated by the size of this book (800+ pages!) I'm so glad I decided to dive in, because WOW what an incredible read! I've grown quite attached to the characters and the world that Shannon created. I want another 800 pages!
