I got an audiobook version of this off Scribd while I was recovering from surgery. I wanted a cute, silly little romance to distract myself from the pain, and this hit the spot. I didn’t realize it was a Christian fiction book until I started listening. I thought the indoctrination level was pretty cheesey, but it didn’t distract too bad from the story. It also didn’t turn into a Narnia wannabe, which is great! Most of the Christian lit I’ve read tries to be an allegory at some point, but this book accepted itself for what it wanted to be without trying to check off too many boxes.
Overall, not a bad read.
