I received this book free from the author for an honest review. I really enjoyed this preview into the Chronicles of the Uprising world. You get to see how Mira came to be where she is and what she went through to get there. I really enjoyed getting to see her journey. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Super intense and very quick pre-quil. I'm glad to have read this before I start book one. If this is any indication of how book 1 is going to be, and I hope it is, it should be very good.

I picked this up off of Amazon and I didn't realize it was a novella. I didn't realize it was the story before you get thrown into the world. Usually I hate those types of books because there is so much information and throwbacks to the other books in the series. This book just wasn't that way and when I came to the end I was pleasantly surprised to find that I eagerly wanted to get my hands on the rest of the books in the series. The characters were interesting. The gladiator style definitely piqued my interest.
