This book is a wild ride from start to finish. In parts it's hilariously silly and in others mentally challenging - due to the execution of the ideas being lacking.
Spoiler the plot had too many elements that barely or only strenuously tied into each other and too many deus ex machina moments, the characters relationships to each other were somehow both underdeveloped and convoluted.
Nevertheless it was fairly fun and as a bassoonist I'd say it's particularly enjoyable for us!
