YES you can eat sea urchin; YES you can eat a potato; but can you eat a cantaloupe? an antelope?
Peppy and fun, with clear, cool illustrations that zero in on their subject, whether it be eggplant vines or chicken toes.

Food is always a fascinating subject for young readers. They will enjoy the interesting questions that author asks.

Great premise, but the execution falls a bit short.

Some kids will enjoy the silliness of some of these questions (like can I eat a tornado? Do chickens have fingers?) But overall, this book is so random, I'm not sure how much they will enjoy it, and as a teacher, I wouldn't be able to use it. There are some cool food facts from other countries, but random things also like where do eggs come from? If there's a raisin, can there be a raisout?
Cute, but all over the place. Not sure the purpose. (Facts? Or fun?)
