This is an exceptional addition to an already amazingly series. It never ceases to amaze me how complex the story is becoming and how much these characters grow. Breanna does an amazing job of creating the perfect world for you to escape to. Sprigs is my favorite so far!

I really enjoyed this step back into the Dusk Gate Chronicles. ***May contain spoilers***

Quinn, William and their family are once again facing a medical crisis that is spreading across their kingdom..Gray Throat. Which is something that William and Nathaniel can treat, though with the known gates to Quinn's world now sealed, the process of producing required medication is slower.

Quinn and company are basically quarantined in the castle as they work to slow and stop the spread of Gray Throat around the kingdom. That is, until Jonathon arrives with a very sick young child. Helping this child, finding out who she is and where is came from becomes a focus for all.

Through this we learn that the world that Quinn and Zander have claimed as home is much larger and still even greatly unknown even to William. In fact, it appears the whole world isn't even yet mapped.

We see Thomas and Mia's relationship evolve, as they finally open up with one big secret for each. And Zander and Linnea's relationship really finds its stride as well. We see Zander really grow up and begin to find his place.

Over all, the story of Quinn, William, Zander, Nay, Thomas, Mia, et all is a fun stop back in the series. But what stops me from giving it a 5 star review is that there are a lot of unanswered questions..

Who is Panda? Where does she come from? Who is Leah? How can she do what she does? And how is she connected to Panda? And WHY does Dovelnia want Panda? Who are the people of Dovelnia? And what do they know about the gates?

While this story ends on a happy ending (and I love happy endings) I feel that the story isn't quite done... but maybe the Gatekeeper's series will answer more of these questions...or maybe we can again visit Quinn and her family/friends.
