This novella is told from Aiden's POV.

This novella shows how much Aiden will do for Alex and just how much he loves her.

He does not give up in his faith of her and does what he can to make things easier for her which, at most points, is not appreciated.

Aiden no longer struggles with his feelings for Alex, and now, no longer cares who knows how much she means to him.

We also see more from the Gods on the approaching war against the pures and half-bloods. We also see how much Apollo cares for Alex.

A good filler to gain greater prespective for the next novel Apollyon!!

This was an amazing read. Loved this ebook. I loved reading from Aiden's POV. It's a nice break from Alex's POV, and I got to see a side to Aiden that I have never seen before. In this book, He was more vulnerable and open. It was very interesting to see. Also, the change inside Alex was described very clearly. I can't wait to read Apollyon next. Overall, a fantastic read.

This is just going to be a short review since it's a novella. Elixir is a definite must read if you have been following The Covenant Series. However you NEED to read Deity before you read this one!! Because It will spoiler Deity for you if you read this first.

Set between Deity (book 3) and Apollyon (book 4) this little story is told from Aiden's Pov. It is a really good short story and I think it's essential that you read it. You get to see inside Aiden's mind and experience things from him prospective and of course if you are Team Aiden you are going to LOVE IT! Personally I am Team Seth, always have been but it was a refreshing change from Alex's Pov.

Usually with short stories you don't get a lot but Jennifer has managed to really make the most of it. The readers feel like they are actually reading a proper story. It doesn't feel rushed or forced like some short stories. For me when I read short stories I rarely gave them over 3 stars. They usually aren't my thing even though I can enjoy them so a massive thank you Jennifer for writing one that I actually really enjoyed.

Can't wait for Apollyon now!!

Libro rápido que he leído en apenas una hora. Me encanta Aiden y me ha encantado leer desde su punto de vista aunque también he sufrido mucho por él. Se merece lo mejor del mundo entero.
Deseando leer Apollyon.

This book is a must read, or you will miss something when you get to Apollyon. It's a vital key point into the book, that sets things for the future books. But once again, it was phenomenal, another one I could't put down. I love this series so much. I want more!

Pensavo di non poter amare Aiden di più, ma mi sono sbagliata. Dopo aver letto tutto il suo amore per Alex, io come faccio a trovare qualcuno nella vita reale?!? No, qualcuno deve dirmelo!

The previous books have all been in Alex’s point of view, but with this novella we got to read from Aiden’s perspective instead. After the events in, “Deity”, Alex had Awakened, and she was fully in Apollyon mode. With her connection to Seth at an all time high, Alex wasn’t the same person we knew and loved, she was power hungry and determined to be by Seth’s side. Aiden, Marcus, Apollo, and the others had to keep Alex hidden in the meantime while they searched for a solution to break the connection between Alex and Seth. Some solutions ended up being the last thing Aiden wanted for Alex, but these were circumstances that pushed them to doing things they never thought they’d have to do.

I liked the novella because, not only did I get to read from Aiden’s perspective, but also see right away what happened in the cliffhanger of, “Deity”. Aiden has always been a fighter, especially for those he loved, but he was pushed to make decisions in order to keep Alex safe, or in this case pushed to do things in order to break off her connection with Seth. This was a short, to the point novella that surprisingly revealed a bit more information that will play a bigger role in the next book. The ending of this novella as well showed that Aiden and the rest of the gang had a renewed sense of hope, and were determined to do whatever was necessary to save Alex, and fingers crossed get her back in order to take down Seth and Lucian.
