Overall this series was fun and a quick and easy read. The writer doesn't go into much depth with the characters and I wonder how many times the word 'delicious' is in the 6 books. It's a very chaste series (no sex, barely even romance). Not sure I would read many more from the author though these were fun enough

For followers of the Burger Bar series, this is the final book that ties everything together. Ex-detective Christine Watson is able to focus on the case that has been in the background of the first five books, the murder of her mother twelve years ago. Author Rosie A. Point provides a quick read and weaves the usual number of quirky characters from Sleepy Creek throughout the book.

This book can be viewed as a standalone, although readers not familiar with the story will probably be lost here and there with the references to past books. This will be emphasized when the twist and all the secrets are revealed at the end. Even as a person who has read all five previous books, I wished for a few clues dropped that might have given me the opportunity to guess who was responsible. Although the twist was unexpected, it felt like almost anyone could have been moved into the murderer’s slot.

Overall, a fairly enjoyable book that wraps up the previous five. Three-and-a-half stars.
