Holy emotions Batman. First, I want to say this is the first book of the series I read so it seems like there is a bit of a back story to Bryce that I didn’t 100% understand which could be why I feel a certain way about him. Cole and Brenna are freaking goals! So when they announce their relationship to her brother Bryce, I didn’t understand his aversion to it. That aversion festered for a good half or more of the book. And I think knowing his backstory would come into play with WHY it festered for so long. But when all the pieces started falling into place, things started making sense. Like I send, Brenna and Cole are end game and I loved this books so much.

“I love everything about us. And I love you, Cole Campbell. Yes, you might have known it first, but I got here eventually. And I’m going to spend my life making sure you know every day how much I love you.”

Brothers best friend, friends to lovers, angst, and a sports romance make for such a fun, fast read. Chelle is great at sucking you in right away with her books and making it so hard to put down. Cole and Brenna have been friends since they were kids, not just because Cole and Brenna’s twin brother, Bryce, have been best friends for just as long. Small little secret is that Cole’s had a crush on Brenna for almost just as long. Feelings are finally out in the open, only to be met with some push back. Plus, we got to see a few people from previous books.

I absolutely adored this book! Chelle had me laughing out loud before we even got into the actual plot.

Brenna Donald is the twin sister of Nashville Fury QB, Brice. Cole Campbell is an offensive lineman and Brice’s best friend. That means the bro-code is in full effect…we don’t date our teammate’s sister. But when Brenna finds herself living in Cole’s apartment temporarily, all the childhood crushy feelings come rushing back for them both, leaving a path of possible destruction in their wake.

This book had it all. Funny moments, sad moments, happy moments, and swoony moments. I can’t believe it took me this long to find this series!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get into it. I found the characters flat, and I couldn't connect with them. I did somewhat enjoy the banter and friendships, but it wasn't enough for me to fully engage with the story.

Thank you to Grey's promotions and the author for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
