Absolutely LOVED it!! I cried so much while reading this book. I could relate so much to the female main character, it was scary 😂
I was very disappointed in a certain chapter near the end, but the ending was amazing and had me in tears

After reading Archer’s Voice, which was fantastic, I was excited to read this spin-off. And I love a redemption arc!

Travis - I love him. This man is flawed, of course he is. After his traumatic childhood and manipulative mother, who can blame him? But he learned the errors of his ways, he regretted his mistakes, and he stood up to them.

Haven was nice. She also comes from a traumatic childhood and a mother who struggled with addiction, and she dealt with her pain by running away. Never getting attached.

The love story was… adequate (get it?). While I was able to connect with the characters, I wasn’t really able to connect to their relationship. Their love felt sudden. And not in an insta-love kind of way, but more of in a they thought the other was attractive and all of a sudden they’re in love kind of way. I can’t really put it into words.

☑️ FWB to lovers
☑️ forced proximity
☑️ redemption arc
☑️ small town

It breaks my heart to have to give this a 2.75 ⭐️. I love Mia’s writing and Archers Voice is a 5 star read for me but idk — the beginning of this had me interested and i liked all the characters. I just feel like the story dragged. The miscommunication was a bit irritating but i am happy Travis got his redemption arc. Just wish it hit more than it actually did :/

Archer’s Voice is one of my favorite books so I knew I had to read Travis. If you’ve read Archer’s Voice then obviously you’re not the biggest Travis fan. I didn’t see how Travis could redeem himself and make me like him but Mia Sheridan succeeded. I loved the characters (negative qualities and all) and rooted for them every step of the way. I easily fell in love with the town of Pelion all over again.

This book wasn’t as good as Archer’s voice but it was a great read. I enjoyed getting to know Travis’s character more. Sweet small town romance and a good story about healing from past trauma.

This book was good not great. I LOVED Archers voice so I just assumed that I would love this, but it was not as good. I did like hearing more about Archer and Bree and I really liked how Travis developed as a character, but Travis and Haven’s story was very predictable to me.
