Ok WHAT THE HELL??!! I am shook!

I was worried because the middle of this book got a little off kilter and I wasnt sure how everything was going to tie back together but holy shit - this book was incredible! I hated that her bond with Warwick and the other fae was severed and the Warwick disappeared for half the book but when he got back and claimed her all over again

4.5🌟 This series is still going strong and I'm here for the chaotic storyline which occasionally feels like whiplash lol. I love Opie and Bitzy!!

These books were addicting and easy to blast through with wanting to know what happens next. But honestly once the spice invades, it takes over and is waaayyyyy overdone in this series and so much could be cut out in these books that the series could be condensed lol
I know this is a selling point for some, but it became over the top for me

We’re moving into the realm of repetitiveness which is starting to lose my attention and the story is starting to get predictable. Also now that the main love interests are together I’m low key more interested in the side characters and any sort of romances going on with those.

Oh. My. God. How is our girl gonna get herself out of this one??? And if her link with Warwick doesn’t come back, I will raise hell!! He does need to explain that MATE slip still though. Gosh, Istvan is such a little bitch, I hope Brexley dismantles everything he stands for. Brexley is honestly such a breath of fresh air as an fmc. She’s sarcastic and witty and so damn strong, but doesn’t play coy about it. She’s confident in her abilities and is inspiring. She’s shown me that it’s possible to walk through hell and come out the other side okay. Maybe a little scarred and bruised, but okay.

“Women have always had to apologize or bend to their will. We were punished for their weak character. In doing so, we helped them keep us down like pitiful creatures they claimed us to be. When in truth, we were the dragons.”

“In my case, because nothing was ever normal with me, my familiar was my pet afterbirth. I shall name him squishy.”

“Before you, nothing I ate had any taste. All I could smell was death. Nothing but killing made me feel anything. Then you walked into my life. And I don’t see just gray. I feel, smell, taste, and want to fuck you in every color.”

“The wolf isn’t leashed… and yet it still runs back to you.”

“All I understood was that Warwick and I walked the line, and even if we lived in the gray, we fucked in color.”

“Even if we have to kill everyone here and swim through their blood… we will survive, Kovacs.”

“People considered ‘breaking’ a sign of weakness. I disagreed. Bending meant you could be molded and shaped into something else. I may be full of dents, scares, and trauma, but whatever they did to me, they could not bend and form me into their idea. They turned me rigid. I broke; I did not bed. I snapped; I did not bow. They did not twist and cast me into something different. My broken pieces could not be forged together. Made stronger.”

The fourth entry in a mindblowing series by Stacey Marie Brown. After the intensity of the last book, I wasnt sure how this one would go but it doesnt disappoint. This one had some incredible scenes and further developed the characters. Brexley just gets better and better. I am excited to see what the rest of the series holds.

I am blown away with this series so far. I read all four books in four days, I could not put it down. I am normally someone who gets impatient with slow burn romances but think Stacey Marie Brown has executed it perfectly over the series. Despite living in a fantasy world, the characters are people we can sympathize with and see ourselves in. It makes parallels to a lot of world issues and struggles everyone experiences at one point or another in life. You will never be able to guess what will happen next so buckle in for a ride where you will experience every emotion possible.
