If you've been reading the series up to this book and haven't been enjoying it, it's definitely worth one more shot. This novel may change your opinion about the series.

I liked this one the best so far. The story was the most developed and flowed the best. Even though it takes place over a short amount of time, it was pleasantly detailed so that you could clearly picture everything that was happening through its entirety. Even though defeating Kalona was quite simple, the Casts definitely delivered this time.

But as with all the other books, I'm incredibly tired of Zoey's wavering heart. She really should pick a boyfriend and STAY with a single boyfriend. It wouldn't bother me if she were even to keep Heath as a familiar, as long as there are no strings attached on Zoey's part at least.

I was also satisfied with the fact that it left a very small cliffhanger: we don't know Stevie Rae's secrets about the red vampires. Subtle, but enough to encourage me to read the next installment.

So! I just finished another book in the House of Night series!! Hell yeah! I'm super hyper right now....as if you can't tell. But anyway! This book was pretty awesome. I loved that Stark came back into the picture...really missed him. Kalona was a beast!! So want to see that guy in real life. Zoey was also a beast! and almost died (SPOILER)!! But overall, pretty good and can't wait for the next boookkk!!!

I enjoy the House of Night series but the repetitiveness is starting to get really annoying.Yes we know Jack and Damien are gay. Yes we know Shaunee and Erin are "twins",one black and the other white.Yes we know Aphrodite is a bitch and that Stevie Ray is a country girl.We DON'T need to be reminded of it every other page of every freaking book. Not to mention i fear that Zoey is turning into a giant ho cake with ho icing. And all the men she thinks she wants/loves are little ho sprinkles on top.
