As an adult, I enjoyed this book much more than the first time I read it.  Absolutely delightful.

I liked it less than the first 5 tomes because it is less centered towards Anne.

I hate to say it, because I love Anne DEARLY, but I was disappointed by this book. As a young mother myself, I was really looking forward to seeing this stage of life through Anne's eyes, but I feel like this book took such a big step back from Anne herself, both narratively and emotionally. I did enjoy the few bits of insight we got into her mind, but since the majority of the book focused on the children, it really didn't resonate with me at all. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it as a child, but this one just wasn't for me.
