I’m liking this series, a gay Ocean’s 11-esque series.

This one is lead by Ridge, the master thief. Who also has been having an affair with the agent from the last job he bumped into. A 100 year old scandal dealing with wrongful death and the wrong inheritance is the job this time. And it was pretty interesting. I enjoyed the two men and their growth from friends with bennies to lovers.

This series is not the usual romance series; in fact, there is quite little romance in this book, and much more action. The storyline of Ridge and Davis started in the previous book and will most probably continue in the next installment of the series. So this story actually ends with a HFN and this disappointed me a bit.

But it is a very entertaining story, with a lot of action and funny dialogues. My recommendation is that you have read the previous book in order to get more information on how the two MCs met and to have some insight on Ridge past and relationship with his twin.

So, this wasn't perfect. It needed about 20 more pages in the beginning setting up between Ridge and Davis. I was worried about catching up on them since they started in the last book, and really she doesn't do them justice in that regard.

However, I thought just about everything else was lovely! I'm about to read the next one and then I cannot wait for the 5th!!

This was marginally wayyyy less appealing compared to the other ones...

I would have taken way better planning and execution instead of the motel room romance description...This heist was shoddy work...and everyone’s movement at some point made my head hurt...

I hope the next book is better

I absolutely love this series and this one didn’t disappoint. I liked that Davis and Ridge continues their “relationship” after they were home from the last job. I think they complement each other well. This book didn’t have as much build up to the actual job as the others and everything that could go wrong did even if they got it all figured out in the end.

I can’t wait to see how the last two jobs go with how everything ended and hopefully Davis will be able to join Ridge soon.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

I enjoyed the other books a great deal but this one was a disappointment. I didn't mind jumping back and forth in time from one chapter to the next, but there were some important details in the plot that were inexplicably missing. I have no idea how a major part of Leo's rescue happened because it was just never shown.

Same thing happened with the big climax. We get the general idea of what happened during the showdown with the baddie, but then BAM! The scene ends and the next thing we see is everyone out of danger and there's an odd visit from a friend that wraps everything up...I guess? Then cue the epilogue that felt more like a plug for the Christmas book than a wrap up.

So yeah. There was a lotta bad BUT I still loved Charlie and Leo. They were sweet and smokin' hot. That said, I'll still be reading the Christmas story coming out in November and hoping for a return to the kind of clever plots and engaging writing that hooked me on this series to begin with.

I was really excited for this one because of the blurb, plus I really liked Ridge's character and it seemed like a "love at first sight" situation for him and Davis. And it was! That was my favourite part of the book.

The rest of the book just left me fully confused. In the first three books, these boys were solving crimes and not letting a bad guy get away with doing bad things and I was all for it. But with this one, it wasn't like that? I get the whole "righting a wrong" aspect but it just didn't fit in with the rest of the other books, there was no crime fighting, no suspense, not bad guy chase or anything, so I was a bit disappointed.

Onto the next!
