Juste wow!

I didn’t think it was possible but I loved Onyx more than Obsidian! I was completely sucked in the story and I had to force myself not to finish reading it so quickly.

Daemon<3 Like Katy would say, “Oh holy baby aliens everywhere!” I didn’t really warm up to Daemon in Obsidian, like at all. But omg, I love him so much, I don’t have the words to describe him! He is such a badass, yet tender at the same time and his protective nature toward Katy is so adorable. And the way he calls her Kitten… Okay I’m gushing now. The Thanksgiving scene…. Gahhhh….. My heart melted!

“If there is anything, there is us.
You and me. No one else.”

I really like Katy’s character. She is so sassy and doesn’t take anything from anyone. And I love that she’s a book blogger! Although I do think she is way too stubborn, like come on Katy! She should have trusted Daemon and Dee’s judgment from the beginning!!!! Ahhhh that frustrated me so much.

I enjoyed the entire story; it really kept me on my toes the entire time. There were so many action packed and jaw dropping scenes. And of course the romance, I wish Katy hadn’t been so dumb about it in the beginning… But at least she came to her senses.
That ending though. I need to read Opal!

"Tell me what you told me earlier."
"I love you."
"That's all I ever need to hear."
"Those three words?"
"Always those three words.”

I honestly don't know where to start with this book. IT WAS THAT MIND BLOWING!!!
Firstly i would like to congradulate Jennifer on her amazing writing skills. This book was so captivating and i just could not put it down, i was hooked just as much as i was with the first. The world she has created is so different and unique to all the other paranormal romance novels out their, especially with aliens being the supernatural factor, which you don't normally get and let me just say, thanks to Daemon, aliens are my new favourite supernatural people!!! What i love about this book is that i really feel i can connect with it because Katy is well, us. She is the readers! She loves to read paranormal books, blog about them and fall in love with the main characters, just like us. But what i really love is that she is living our dream, she's been pushed into a novel world and is getting a hot relationship with a sexy alien along with some kick ass powers.....something we all want but know can never have! Which is what i love about Jennifer, she makes this feel real and includes herself and the readers into the character of Katy and the other characters.
Spoilers ahead!!!

Their were so mant moments in this book where i had major WTF moments and while i sort of guessed at Beth and Dawson dawson still being alive, it was a really happy moment for me cause well, i knew it was a happy moment for Daemon. I can't wait to see how Dawson is in the next book and what the consequences of whats happened to him will play out.
Will and Blake........all i can say was that i was with Daemon from the start in not trusting them (or just Blake but i'm gonna include Will.) Did not like either of them from the moment they entered the book and by the end......i hope they die a seriously painful death!!!! All they will recieve from me is passionate hate!!!
I was sad and dissapointed in the lack of Dee in this book. I loved her and Katy's friendship and to see them drift apart, to also see Katy drift apart from Lesa and Carissa, was a shock and something i didn't expect Katy to do. I hope we see more of them in the next book, especially Dee as their friendship was so fun and they seemed so click so quickly after the first book and i think with the events of this book, they will really need each other.
Oh and just randmly....AS IF ADAM DIES!!!!! WTF JENNIFER WHY!!!!!!!!
Daemon had me once again giggling like a school girl and my brain turning to mush the whole time. I honestly don't think he could get any better and to see a whole new side of him, a sweet, romantic and vulnerable side that finally opened up to Katy was just the cherry on top of the sexy Daemon Sunday! And he never lost his awesome smugness either.
Katy, well i love Katy. She is one of my favourite kick ass chicks, alongside Rose from Vampire Academ, and i loved how she grew even stronger in this book. She never gave up and refused to take crap from anybody. She wasn't selfish and upset over her new abilities, instead only thinking of how she can use them to save and help others. The only thing that did annoy me about her was how quickly at first she dismissed Daemons feeling for her, but all was forgiven when she finally came to her senses :)
Daemon and Katy together, well, they are just mage awesomeness. Their relationship grew so much in this book and it made me do a little happy dance how no matter what, they would always go back to each other and be there for one another. They may bicker and fight, but thats just what makes their relationship that much more better. Its a nice break from the soppy, romance stuff you can sometimes get. Plus, they have some hot moments together where you literally just have to scream JUST GET IT ON ALREADY!!! The heat was definately turned up a notch from the first book, so i can't wait to see what happens in the next now they've finally admitted their feelings! Oh and with Katy's new powers....they're totally gonna kick some ass!!!!
I don't think i can say much more about this book, only that this series is one of my favourites and jennifer is one hell of a writer writer......oh and that i'm still in a happy state from reading it and when i get out of said state, i'll be crying with the long wait for the next one!

This series....I think I am in love with it.

The second book in the Lux series starts right where Obsidian ended. There is still lots of snarky banter between Katy and Daemon as they struggle with being attracted to one another. Daemon has given in to the attraction and it is now Katy who keeps pushing him away. So there is lots of hot, spontaneous, make-out scenes between them that are sure to make the inner 14 year old girl squeal with joy...or if you are teen get excited and ship Daemon/Katy hardcore. Throw in the fact that Katy has powers that are manifesting from Daemon healing her, the DOD showing interest in the Luxen/Katy, a new guy, Blake, who I not what he seems, and the book sucks you right in to the world of the Luxen again.

The ending of the book is thrilling and sets up for the next in the series "Opal" which I am going to definitely read. How can I not with such fun and such chemistry between Daemon and Katy?

I'm completely hooked on this series. I didn't think it was possible, but I enjoyed Onyx even more than Obsidian.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her characters feel so real that it's easy to forget that I don't actually know them in real life.

I'm looking forward to the next 3 books and I'm ready to be blown away.

Another great read!

Jennifer does it again! This is the second book in the Lux series and I could put it down. This is a sneak-a-read-wherever you can kind of book. I have to admit Daemon and Kat's stubbornness had me going crazy but I knew if I waited it out, I would be rewarded and boy was I. Don't wait anymore but this book!
