Still not as good as #1 and #2 but on a par with #3 and I'll keep reading.

The investigation dragged a bit so the resolution didn't seem very well tied to the opening. The new characters weren't as interesting as in previous books, though Varvara has great potential. The action was well handled and the ending twist was good.

Excellent. This series seems to get better as it goes on: scary funny, fast-paced.

Enjoyed this book but like the previous ones in the series they don't have a patch on Rivers of London. Still looking forward to more in the series to see what happens to Peter, Lesley and Nightingale.

Overall, I think I enjoyed this book, just like the prior parts in this series. The characters are simply brilliant and I always look forward to spending more time with them when picking up a Rivers Of London book. The humour is just as snarky and hilarious as usual and it's easily the best part of the book for me. What I didn't enjoy quite as much was the plot since it left me kinda confused at times. Sometimes I felt like it was all over the place and I never quite managed to find myself too interested in the actual police investigations going on. Might need a little break before continuing with the next book in the series but I'm 100% sure I will read it one day.
