Quite an intriguing read but I wish it took some more time with the second half of the book. It was interesting and disturbing to see Keiko and Shiraha interact, but the writing style was kinda bland (easy to read tho).

very similar to EARTHLINGS in that keiko finds herself not being able to be a part of society’s “factory” (but an entirely different tone) CONVENIENCE STORE WOMAN was a very relatable read as a neurodivergent person myself. i didn’t get much more out of it beyond that, but it was nice to feel seen.
