A fluffy read with lots of potential! I liked the multiple POV approach and how it could have allowed for more depth in each of the character's lives. However, it fell flat in that area and ended up maked the story feel unfinished, like we didn't get to fully understand each character. There were also some cringey moments, like where Jeff didn't know what a Wawa was (but went on a world tour and ran away from his security on an ATV?) and when Beatrice didn't know how to cook pasta (but knew how to make a fire cause her grandfather considered it an "important life skill"??). Overall, a nice read if you want the equivalent of a fluffy drama movie.

2.5 oh my god :(
I wanted to rate this higher, purely due to the absolute HYPE surrounding this book. Although it was definitely enjoyable in parts, for a book of this length it was just eh. HERE COMES THE BULLET POINTS:

- the first 50% of this book dragged. It was like a character introduction that just seemed pointless for the most part.
- It was pretty much a story about women who loved other guys. It was just romance. But not even good romance.
- Daphne was horrible. Like it just BRUSHES over the fact that she drugs her friend and she is now in hospital... no sis.
- Legit half the book was about girls effing guys they aren't meant to.
- The pace of the story only occurs in legit the last 15 %...
- The ending is so open-ended, which obvs there is another book coming, but DAMN its too open. There is nothing tying anything together. It just ends.

and lastly. the most important part about this book and the reason it does not get 3 stars....

no one..

not one person...

was named Hamilton.

Took me a bit to get into but once ‚in‘ I read through it within 2 days. If you’re looking for royal love triangles in an alternate reality, this one is for you!
