There is content involving an adult and a teen that leads to inappropriate and dark things, there’s deaths or near deaths shown that are depicted in incredibly brutal fashion, even when we get back to PunPun in middle school there’s a kind of social psychological warfare between him and a classmate regarding someone significant from the first volume and a character causes great harm to himself. It’s a much darker volume. This volume might be too much for some people. I found it to be tough material but fascinating.justinlewry's review against another edition

Goodnight Punpun volumes three and four smartly expand the focus of the story by spending less time solely with Punpun, and more with the supporting cast. As Punpun ages, the story has become much darker- it's still a very enjoyable read albeit much heavier.
I will definitely continue reading the series.
