"One person's happiness is built on the misfortune of others."

"People die, no matter what kind of life they live. The bit at the end is the same for everyone. So you only really have two choices - will you, or won't you. That's it."

If the first volume is about dreams and flying away, this one is more about the frailty of those dreams and of ourselves. There is at least watershed moment for each of the three main components of the story: Aiko, Yuichi, and, of course, Punpun. It's amazing, knowing how this whole thing shakes out at the end, how pivitol and prescient the second volume actually is.

This word is so big and there are so many people here. Living. Surviving. Or maybe none idk. Maybe they are just waiting for death. But whatever it is we still are here no? Ig being alive also means to suffer. Since a kid I have always thought why am I still living if everything is so unfair? Why am I still smiling with a facade of hurt inside me? I have never found the answer tbh. Maybe I am just too young to know yet? But I don't want to be young anymore. I want to know what life is? And why we all suffer so much.

This is exactly how this manga felt like.
