I really didn’t enjoy this book. It really just went against my moral code when it came to marriage and I couldn’t really get over that. I didn’t like the characters and I didn’t like the glamourised ED and anxiety. was really not a fan and it was putting me in a bad headspace so I couldn’t finish it. Feels harsh giving it one star but this is one of the first books I couldn’t keep reading.

I love Marian Keyes. But I didn't love this. I felt like Amy's constant swearing around her kids was unnecessary, it almost screamed "look how cool I am!". Her fellow workers would be right to be angry at the many lost hours of productivity as a result of her continual crises.

There was a lot of fluff that got bounced around and nothing really was resolved except for her relationship. Her retaliatory fling was just sad. I know it was probably meant to be, but it seemed like a lot of filler sex scenes just for an exploratory writing exercise.

Her earlier writing seemed to be a lot more polished than this. It's more like a lot of loose threads thrown together without really wrapping it up properly and removing the superfluous bits.

I was looking forward to this coming out, but I did not really connect with it at all, perhaps because it was a little too celebrity filled. Everyone seemed a bit too unreal.
