Idk it took a while to get used to the narration- specifically how she talks as Whit. It verges on goofy quite often.

Cheesy fun.

This has been my favourite MacLean book I’ve read so far. I loved all the characters and I’m really interested in what’s going on with Ewan. Genuinely loved this book and Hattie is my favourite heroine to date.

Not my favorite, but still loved it. Wit is a bit less of a dumbass than Devon, but still pretty stuborn. Now, Hettie was wonderful, and her friendship with Nora? Amazing.

This was so much fun and also quite funny. Made exponentially more engrossing and hot when I cast Tom Hardy as Whit on the advice of a friend. (Thanks for the tip, MD.)

I did believe this was going to live up to the hype and yet, I was still like W O W! S O S! MacLean’s Bastard series is so good and i feel so insane saying everything she writes is so good again and again. Hattie is incredibly forthright, the woman we all are, and Whit is undeniably wonderful despite his less than verbose talking style and my deep love for his brother, Devon. Even sidekick Nora and a better look at Annika! Can there be a novella here? More angst from Ewan! The Duke and Duchess of Warnick are sighted here! Sophie! Sesily and Caleb!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear god if I don’t get a story for them soon, I might go insane. I am honestly worried about how I can handle Grace and Ewan’s story. I AM SO READY. I know everything he has done has been for Grace. There’s so much more to his side of their father’s torture. If my love for Day of the Duchess is any indication, Maclean’s ability to make the despicable, lovable will soon rival Kleypas’s Sebastian. But I digress, Hattie is a wonder. I love her so much and I seriously doubted I could identify with a misfit weird girl more than Felicity. Or that Devon’s burly brother could be so entirely dreamy. Fun and new and so hot and brazen (wink wink) and exciting for the genre.

Another banger from Sarah MacLean. Often laugh out-loud funny, very spicy where it counts and filled with delightful characters. Features guest appearances from our main couple from Wicked and the Wallflower and a satisfying end. Is there a third act break up? Two actually, but quickly resolved and both satisfying.
