Absolutely beautiful. It's such a warm and kind story. And all the characters are somehow slightly connected though they each have their own little story. It feels like you're entering into their small world and are slowly getting to know everyone. Very inspiring too!

What a lovely little book. I really enjoyed how everyone’s stories linked together. Such a cosy read!

EN: June arrived with the radiance of a new pick from @thecharactersclub – and one I'd had my eyes on for a while: "What You Are Looking for is in the Library" (2020), by Michiko Aoyama.
The book explores, in a sequence, the routines and dilemmas of five characters, of varying backgrounds, situations and ages. All, however, have one thing in common: at a certain point, they entered Mrs. Komachi's library and, after some labyrinthine chat, she recommended them a book that'd influence them profoundly.
Reading this book made me (re)explore some "common places" about identity formation and career conceptions. In other words, it didn't bring anything new per se. Instead, it reminded me of what I already knew, but hadn't yet organized in my mind. In that sense, it felt more like a hug than a lecture. Besides, there's a sense of plausible hope that permeates each individual story, which motivates to live up to their propositions. If you're looking for reassurance in times of doubt, this book is for you.
