Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to read it for a time now. I liked this first volume, it's clumsy cute and funny. I've read a lot of mangas with a girl and a demon kind of romance and I always find it enjoyable. I'm happy to start this one and I entend to read all the volumes. I've already read some of Saki Aikawa's shojos some years ago and I forget about them until I read this manga and remembered thanks to her special art's style.

Koharu's late grandmother was special, she used to tell her that she was able to see and heal demons, so after her death, our heroine discovers that she has inherited those powers when she helped cure by accident the fox demon Iori from his wounds, what she wasn't ready for is that Iori took a liking to her and decided to make her his bride and with a kiss they were engaged!

Not bad

Not bad. I'd keep reading. I'll have to look for the continuation to this story. Not bad art work too.

Thanks to Akita Publishing for making this book available to me via #Netgalley
.
After the death of her Grandmother, Koharu discovers that she has inherited her grandmother's healing powers. She can now see and heal demons. This was revealed to her when she healed a fox boy (handsome one at that) in the forest. He follows her home and decides that she is to become his bride. He kisses her and they are engaged.
.
This first volume was short and sweet.

So the instant I saw this my immediate thought was Kami-sama Kiss, enough so that I thought for a moment this was Kami-sama Kiss but branded differently. It's not quite, having read the whole volume it feels like it is pulling from Anime's like Inuyasha and Fruits Basket. (The love Triangle is evident within the first chapter.)

Whoever did the localization could have done better; a line that exists no joke is: "oh don't scare me, person! " I had to put by phone down and then come back to make sure I read it correctly.

I don't think I will follow up with this Manga, it seems to be a Monster of The Week Manga, with the Love Triangle being shoved in your face constantly. I suppose there is the potential that it could a reverse harem, but the lack of actual plot doesn't make me want to dig in deeper.

I really enjoy manga and although I did enjoy this one I would have liked a bit more detail. The lack of detail and character development made the plot feel very rushed. Regardless I do want to read the second volume to see how the story progresses and how the author grows. The art was beautiful and definitely enjoyed it.

A freebie on Google Books with decent art and a cliched but cute romance.
