Basically anything with talking animals in it pleases me but then Richard Adams added beautiful descriptions, compelling characters (Hazel and Fiver especially), and world-building complete with an actually very interesting Rabbit Religion (all the world will be your enemy...).
I cried when I finished it just because I was sad it was over and I wouldn't be spending time with Hazel anymore.
