Ended up having to skim about 100 pages. Carina's family is very controlling, don't think twice about interrupting her, don't consider her feelings. I loved books 1 and 2 but the story overall was a bit ruined for me due to Carina's family, unfortunately

A great ending to a great series. It's emotionally charged and a very fitting end to this series.

Okay, so I really did love this book. Seeing Carina and Quillan grow in their faith was inspiring and beautiful; and yes, I loved seeing their relationship grow, too. (Finally, they've both acknowledged their love for each other!) There were moments, however, where this book dragged. (Mostly because I was excited for them to get to Sonoma.) Also, I feel that if both parties in the big argument had laid aside their pride, then the whole issue would have been resolved faster. That being said, I feel that the ending was good (if predictable), and I enjoyed seeing how Carina and Quillan grew.
On a side note: Flavio was a pacifist? Seriously?! That totally came out of nowhere and was just said to highlight the moments when he was angry. Not a great move.

The Tender Vine by Kristen Heitzmann – A wonderful testament to the power of family and stubborn women! Happy Reading!

This book was the perfect conclusion to Quillian and Carina's story. Heitzmann so beautifully portrays a very real love, a love that though flawed, jumps out off the page. I have to admit that I frequently skipped ahead to read the "good" parts so I lost a bit of the continuity of the story. However, I still absolutely love it and the entire series. I strongly recommend it.
**Update: I still absolutely love this book and am thankful that my memory had not obscured the quality of the writing.**
