Si bien el libro estuvo muy bien, el comienzo es un poco lento, tarda demasiado en ponernos en contexto.

Por momentos sentí que la serie es mejor que el libro...

I LOVED the first 3/4 of it. Couldn't put it down. The ending didn't quite satisfy me though...

Loved this book! I had to double check it wasn’t actually written in the Victorian Era as the tone and use of language was perfect! I’m left totally undecided, was she a manipulated innocent or extremely clever murderess? Just when I was 100% sure she was innocent there was a twist in the tale! Having loved this and Handmaid’s Tale, I am now in search of my next Margaret Atwood book.

This was potentially because I consumed this via audiobook rather than reading it physically, but this took a while to get into. However, once I finally got stuck in, I was hooked.

I found it fascinating seeing how Atwood brought Grace and the other key players to life, and I really enjoyed the dual storylines POV’s that developed between Grace and Doctor Jordan. Their relationship was truly fascinating, and it was very interesting seeing Grace’s effect on him slowly manifest.

I also truly loved that we didn’t have all the answers in the end, as I feel that beautifully reflects what happened in real life.

I’ve realised I really enjoy Atwood’s flowing way of writing as it helps carry the reader along perfectly without ever feeling lost.
