I loved this book! A girl who is broken because she was raised to believe she was ugly and evil, but was instead an angel personified. She was just the exact woman Krit needed to fill the hole in his soul. This book had so much feeling and sweetness! I knew Krit wasn't the complete badass from the earlier books, as seen from Jess' and Jason's book. There was a caring side to him that he only showed to some people. His kindness and attention to Jess in the previous book changed my opinion of him. I loved seeing Blythe and Krit, and the rest of the gang. Definitely recommend this one, made me laugh and cry and yearn!

These are the books I always enjoy while wishing I didn’t. Bad for you follows the usual Abbi Glines formula: overbearing alpha male who gets around meets naive virgin and becomes almost immediately obsessed with her. Cue the cringe-inducing use of the word ‘females’, overt misogyny, and the multiple mention of an inner caveman roaring and beating on his chest. Her books would lend themselves easily to a drinking game

And yet… I keep devouring her books and I always enjoy my time reading them. I’ve mustered up the necessary cognitive dissonance  to do so and have decided not to look deeper than that

Raised by the pastor and his wife in a gossipy, hateful community, gorgeous Blyth was ostracized and gaslighted into believing she had no value and her existence was innately evil. The situation is 360 degrees of fucked-up, and when she is released into the world at 18 or so, she is woefully naive to pretty much everything in life. She works at the local church where she meets the local PKs, and she lives in an affordable apartment beneath partying band members.

Once I was into the book, I thought this could be a steamy-romance take on how each emotional abuse and cultural sheltering fosters naivety. It was in a way, but ultimately, this was about how a man can save you. There was a weak attempt at how an innocent woman can save a man too, but I'm not convinced feeding Krit's intensity and violent possessiveness was any sort of salvation.

More like a 4.5. My favorite book of the series. I love both Krit and Blythe so much as characters. They felt very ‘real’ compared to other characters in the series. Their love story is a great combination of drama and emotional rawness.

I've only read the first book in this series before jumping to this one and while I may regret that later down the line, I can say that I absolutely loved this book like I thought I would. Abbi Glines can do no wrong. Ever!
