“Are you going to be a lighthouse for my sister-in-law or an anchor? . . . A lighthouse is a beacon to follow home, to keep ships safe from crashing, a focal point. On the other hand, an anchor locks a ship in one place and weighs it down.”

“Who are you, Luca Rossi? I have no earthly idea.”
“Luckily, we have two years for you to figure that out. When you do, let me know.”

“You drew me. No one’s ever drawn me.”
“Shame. You’re art in motion. You deserve to be committed to canvas for eternity.”

“I’ve never seen myself the way you do.”
“You will, one day. I’m not anywhere done with you.”

“I want to be your soft place to land because you’re mine.”

Content Warnings: sexual content, toxic relationships, and toxic friendships.
Mention of: infidelity, pregnancy, car accident, and stalking.

This book was so fun, spicy, and just an all around good time. Watching Luca and Saoirse fall...and fall hard was *chefs kiss*

I mean from their very first meeting...an inferno began...and the closer they get the fire just rages hotter and hotter. 🔥🔥🔥

The chemistry and spice between Luca and Saoirse is written delectable and perfect! I didn't want to put the book down.  Saoirse is a free spirit who loves adventure and new experiences; Luca has just been thrust into his father's position as CEO at Rossi Motors and has to change his ways. Saoirse is someone who will do anything for anyone she knows and especially cares for, but she has a past that is darkened her skies and made her perception of things jaded, and rightfully so. Luca is a gentleman to those he cares for, but he doesn't do second times with anyone. However, that is all changing when these two meet and the ride they go on is *Chef's kiss*. The Hotel scene in Wyoming, Y'ALLL, was something special!  The style of writing was pleasurable to read, but the only reason I gave it 4 stars versus 5, is that the surrounding story of the two when they were not together was not as developed as I was hoping. I found myself asking about little hints the author left because they seemed vital to the story but weren't really addressed in the way I was hoping. The author ties it up nicely at the end, but I was hoping for more in the story and not just at the end. Either way, this story is a fantastic read I couldn't put it down even with what I just mentioned! It is a great escape if you are looking for one!
