Absolutely chaotic, it was a bit slow to start but then the chaos began. I'm not sure how I feel about Marrs style of writing chapters. They're like these jumpcuts making a bit harder to latch onto the characters and forcing you to play a mini memory game of do I remember what happened to this character 5 chapters ago. I do really enjoy the black mirror esque premise and plotline.

Pretty good read. It took a while to get into the groove but overall I was enthralled by the end. I think having five different stories at once was a bit confusing but the shorter chapters helped everything stay pretty cohesive and I didn’t see any of the plot twists coming!

I brought this book on vacation and it proved a good beach read - short chapters from different character’s POV that ended in mini-cliffhangers. While it was a real page turner, I was having more fun with family and too tired to read at night so didn’t finish it until I got home. The book had a Black Mirror-esque vibe, leaving the characters and the reader feeling wary and to heed, “be careful what you wish for.” I didn’t feel the choices some of the characters (namely
Ellie, Sally, and Amy
) made in the end felt accurate to their previous depictions, which brought my rating down.
